Technical Specifications
Whisper Walls® stretch fabric acoustic panel systems are engineered for acoustic performance, design flexibility, and compliance with international standards. Our systems are trusted by architects and acoustic engineers for their ability to combine seamless aesthetics with reliable reverberation control.
Acoustic Absorption Data

Independent laboratory testing confirms that Whisper Walls stretch fabric panel systems deliver high absorption coefficients across speech and music frequencies. Full absorption data sheets are available upon request for project submittals.

Whisper Walls® Track Specifications
Standard Depths – Include 12mm, 23mm, 27mm, 32mm and 52mm, although other depths may be customised, to meet with architectural drawings and specifications.

Edge & Mid-Wall Configurations – Include square, bevel, radius or welted.
Reveals – Option for reveals are a very creative and dramatic feature and inserts may be finished in wood, metal, paint or other suitably selected materials. Standard reveal widths are 7mm, 13mm or 25mm in edge and midwall configurations. Reveals are available in recessed style, flush or raised.
Installation – Tailor-made Approach
Flexibility is key and Whisper Walls systems are constructed on site, so that our highly trained and expert technicians will adapt walls, ceilings to interior constructional irregularities or unusual configurations. Whisper Walls can be mounted on almost all wall or ceiling surfaces, stud panels, plaster work, stone, brick, metal, concrete or wood, or even on glass (including mirror). We can fabricate around window frames and doors, and carry out detailed shaping around tight corners, small pipe work, conduits, and any architectural feature e.g. alcoves, steps or arches.
This tailor-made approach ensures that the problems that often beset projects utilising conventional pre-fabricated wall and ceiling panels, are completely eliminated. Such problems can include poor fit, uneven wall surfaces, out of square walls, shipping or general handing damage and the limitations on size and shape.
Other problems with pre-manufactured panels include corners not meeting truly to show an accurate 4-way intersection, imposed by uneven, newly fitted plasterboard surfaces. This leads to un-sightly finishes, and may lead to un-rectifiable snagging, prior to project handover.
Specifying – Process
Whisper Walls acoustic wall systems are very customer-friendly and to begin your project, you simply choose the absorber class or system depth and the fabric finish.
To simplify specification and ensure configured Whisper Walls product meets acoustic criteria and aesthetics, we recommend the following step-by-step selection process : –
1. Select Absorber Class / System Thickness
* Choose from standard absorber class or thickness (e.g. Class ‘A’ – 52mm, Class ‘B’ – 32mm, Class ‘B’ or ‘C’ – 27mm, Class ‘C’ – 23mm).
* A custom thickness can be specified for bespoke acoustic performance and meet specification drawings.
2. Choose Fabric Range / Composition or Texture
* Select a fabric type suitable for your project (e.g. polyester, felt-wool, polypropylene, polyethylene, recycled polyester, recycled wool, leather, suede)
* Fire-rated options available (Euroclass B or C).
3. Confirm Fabric Width or Panel widths (allow 100mm for tucking, i.e. maximum visible panel width for fabric 2.8m wide is 2.7m wide)
* Provide fabric roll width, if known. (typically 1.4m, 1.5m, 1.7m, or 2.8m).
This allows us to optimise panel layouts for economical fabric usage, minimising waste.
4. Sustainable Acoustic Panel Option – Whisper Walls ECO Acoustic panels with PVC-free, low VOC’s, and LBC Red list free tracks, coupled together with recycled textiles are available, where a ‘greener’ building environment is required.
5. Submit Project Drawings showing Dimensions & Quantities
* Supply overall panel sizes, wall/ceiling layouts, and quantities. Include details of any mid-wall joint requirements/locations, if fabric not wide enough.
Once this information is provided, we will prepare a tailored specification and quotation, ensuring the most cost-effective and acoustically compliant Whisper Walls solution.
